Paris – Christie’s associated with the seventh edition of the Asian Spring in Paris. To celebrate the centenary of the creation of the School of Fine Arts of Indochina, Christie’s Paris present from June 8 to 13 an exhibition of important artworks from the Melchior Dejouany Collection devoted to Vietnamese art with no fewer than nine artists, including L\u00ea Ph\u1ed5, Mai Trung Th\u1ee9, V\u0169 Cao \u0110\u00e0m, Nguy\u1ec5n Gia Tr\u00ed, L\u01b0\u01a1ng Xu\u00e2n Nh\u1ecb, Ho\u00e0ng T\u00edch Ch\u00f9, Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng B\u00e9, Nguy\u1ec5n Trung and B\u1ed9i Tr\u00e2n.<\/p>\n
Bringing together eleven exceptional works by nine distinguished Vietnamese artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, the exhibition of the Melchior Dejouany Collection invites viewers on a captivating journey through the timeless allure of Vietnam. Thanks to his discerning eyes and the invaluable guidance of renowned Vietnamese art expert Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Hubert, Melchior Dejouany’s\u00a0collection has flourished over the past decade, spanning a diverse range of mediums. Over the years, his collection has brought together works that witnessed eighty years of Vietnamese art (1935-2015), featuring pieces by prominent figures of the Indochina School of Fine Arts, such as Nguy\u1ec5n Gia Tr\u00ed, L\u00ea Ph\u1ed1, V\u0169 Cao \u0110\u00e0m, and L\u01b0\u01a1ng Xu\u00e2n Nh\u1ecb, among others, as well as talented contemporary artists who are yet to receive widespread recognition, such as Nguy\u1ec5n Trung, Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng B\u00e9, and B\u1ed9i Tr\u00e2n.<\/p>\n
