Based in Singapore and appointed as Director, Southeast Asia at LGDR on August 10, 2022, Dexter How will further enhance engagement and expand business in the region, reiterating LGDR’s continued commitment to the Southeast Asian art community. Dexter graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BA in Political Science and Sociology. He joined Sotheby’s in 2003 and started his career as a specialist in Southeast Asian Paintings in the auction industry. After 6 years, he joined Richard Koh Fine Art as Gallery Manager, organizing exhibitions and sourcing contemporary art pieces before returning to the auction world in 2015 with Christie’s. His extensive seven-year experience at Christie’s as Senior Specialist and Head of Sale, Southeast Asian Art with the 20th/21st Century Art Department saw Dexter play a critical role in identifying and expanding new markets for Southeast Asian Art via both auctions and private sales. During his tenure, he achieved white-glove auctions for multiple important collections sourced from the region, setting numerous artist records.
