In celebration of the opening of Christie's new Asia Pacific headquarters at The Henderson, we are proud to present a landmark auction featuring 20th and 21st Century Art. This inaugural sale will take place from September 23 to 26 and will include an impressive preview of seminal works by leading masters of both the modern and post-war eras, as well as contemporary luminaries and emerging artists from the region and beyond.

Among the highlights are exceptional pieces such as Claude Monet’s renowned Nymphéas, Vincent van Gogh’s timeless Les canots amarrés, and a monumental work by modern abstract master Zao Wou Ki, titled 05.06.80 – Triptyque.

A fascinating aspect of this auction is the dedicated section showcasing Vietnamese artists, which highlights the rich cultural heritage and artistic innovation of the region. Featured are works by celebrated masters such as Le Pho, known for his lyrical depictions of women, and Vu Cao Dam, who masterfully blends traditional Vietnamese themes with modern techniques. Additionally, the sale includes the evocative pieces of Mai Trung Thu, Alix Aymé, and Nguyen Tuong Lan, all of whom have made significant contributions to the art world. This emphasis on Vietnamese talent not only underscores the historical significance of these artists but also celebrates the vibrant contemporary art scene emerging from Southeast Asia. This event promises to be a remarkable milestone, bridging past and present while spotlighting both established and emerging voices.
